Over his lifetime, Rob has visited nearly 70 countries. He has spent over two months in ten of them (UK, Australia, Germany, USA, Indonesia, Thailand, Mexico, Guatemala, Ecuador and Colombia). When travelling, Rob prefers the unusual, locally recommended destinations and attractions. He has never had an all-inclusive holiday. On a typical trip, Rob is likely to study the language, take a cooking course, volunteer or stay with a local. Travel writing was a natural step. He is a member of the Australian Society of Travel Writers.

For thirteen months in 2009/2010, Rob travelled the length of the Americas. Well almost, from Vancouver to Buenos Aires. He only took one flight, from Panama to Colombia. He wrote a regular travelogue of the experience, which can be read here: wanderingrob.blogspot.com.au

In Rob's business writing, he draws on nearly 20-years working for a variety of companies, agencies and consultancies. Across his career, Rob's work has centred on consumer insights, or market research in the old days. He has an inquisitive mind, is a skilled interviewer and can connect with people from any walk of life. In addition to an undergraduate honours degree in Mathematics & Management, Rob completed an MBA at the AGSM in Sydney, with a distinction grade.
